I had Johnston Built build my deck last year and I was happy with the whole process. Patrick took his time & explained me through the design, material selection & construction process with true professionalism. The craftsmanship on my 25 x 25 deck is beautiful. Great job! Patrick replaced our front and back deck with composite material. Part of our back deck has a hot tub which when rolled out revealed some major deck original deck construction flaws which he fixed with no problems. The front deck had some strange design which made the railing a little tough too but we came up with a solution that came out great.

We are so pleased that we chose Johnston Built to design and build a composite material deck for our family. It turned out beautifully. Patrick Johnston, the owner, gave us a spot-on estimate and worked in compliance with the many rules set forth by our homeowner’s association and our township zoning and building office so that we could have the nicest deck possible. Pat worked with us every step of the way and was easygoing and open to our input. Pat also seamlessly improved the design of of our deck as he went along to meet our needs. We were impressed by the quality of the work as Pat and his team started with an extra solid frame and ended with beautiful detailing. The job was also completed in a reasonable amount of time. My experience is that local owner-run businesses provide that extra touch of quality workmanship and this company is no exception. As an added bonus, Patrick and his team were very courteous and pleasant to have around. We had 3 estimates for new cabinets in our kitchen. After speaking with Pat Johnston, I could not have felt more comfortable with choosing Johnston Built to complete the job. We hired Johnston Built LLC to reface our 20+ year old deck frame with Timbertech composite deck material and railing system. Pat Johnston and his crew did a beautiful job reproducing our unusual deck pattern using the new material -workmanship was excellent and the cost was reasonable. Pat worked with the Township to assure all code requirements were met. He listened to what we wanted and always responded right away to address our concerns. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his company.
Johnston Built, LLC remodeled our main bathroom and our master bed bathroom. They helped us pick the bathroom features and educated us on the benefits and potential long term problem of some of the options we had considered. Patrick Johnston is professional and very knowledgeable about his business. The final product was better than we expected and a year after the work was done everything is working well and we are as happy with the results as we were the day we saw the final product. They did a FANTASTIC JOB! Mr. Johnston installed new soffits, a front screen door and sliding glass doors. Pat was on time and reasonably priced. Due to living in a townhome development (with contractor restrictions) it was tough to find a contractor who was insured and able to do the work. Pat had all of the prerequesite certifications/insurance and did an amazing job.
Pat Johnston was able to arrive at our home within 24 hours for an estimate and was able to begin work the following day. His price was very reasonable and his work and clean up were so efficient, if we hadn’t seen the results of his work, we wouldn’t have known he was there! We purchased a home that is need of some progressive upgrades and plan to use Johnston Built for all of our future projects. We happily recommend him to all our friends and associates!
Pat built a covered deck for me. It was a pretty big project for me to have done. The price was very reasonable. He was very professional. He always answered the phone when I had a question. He is friendly and easy to work with. Both Pat and his helper Jeff work very well together, they are very courteous, and they even took the time to entertain my 3 young kids. I would have no problems leaving them the keys to the house for whatever future project I needed done. We went with composite material for the decking. The design was not a typical design; therefore it took a lot of though on his part in building it. He helped in designing the project so everything was functional and came together to tie into the design of the house itself. Words can’t describe the project itself so ask to see the pictures if they are not already posted on the site. All and all I am happy with the outcome and I would use Pat’s services again.
We had Johnston Built put an addition on our home in late July of 2013. Pat Johnston’s proposal was very detailed showing the Anderson windows
that they were installing along with the price and a date that the work would start. It started on time and it was completed on time . I asked to have a few changes be done. Pat made these changes at what we thought was at a very reasonable price. My neighbors looked on while the job was being done and marveled how quickly they worked and how neat their work was. All and all we couldn’t be happier with the job that they did and we strongly recommend Johnston Built.
