We are so pleased that we chose Johnston Built to design and build a composite material deck for our family. It turned out beautifully. Patrick Johnston, the owner, gave us a spot-on estimate and worked in compliance with the many rules set forth by our homeowner's association and our township zoning and building office so that we could have the nicest deck possible. Pat worked with us every step of the way and was easygoing and open to our input. Pat also seamlessly improved the design of of our deck as he went along to meet our needs. We were impressed by the quality of the work as Pat and his team started with an extra solid frame and ended with beautiful detailing. The job was also completed in a reasonable amount of time. My experience is that local owner-run businesses provide that extra touch of quality workmanship and this company is no exception. As an added bonus, Patrick and his team were very courteous and pleasant to have around. Great job! Patrick replaced our front and back deck with composite material. Part of our back deck has a hot tub which when rolled out revealed some major deck original deck construction flaws which he fixed with no problems. The front deck had some strange design which made the railing a little tough too but we came up with a solution that came out great.
